tonight’s dinner courtesy of pinterest

i absolutely love pinterest for all these great recipes i find on there. and what i love even more is all this energy and time i’ve had lately to actually make them instead of just repinning different dishes and thinking to myself, “i’ll make this one day…” but never actually getting around to it. i love cooking for people, so tonight, i volunteered and made dinner for a few friends at home.

this is the recipe i found on pinterest, but i made a few modifications of my own, as usual.

ingredients: shrimp, garlic, paprika, crushed red-pepper flakes, olive oil, lemons, white wine, sea-salt, and pepper.

i mixed olive oil, freshly minced garlic, paprika, and crushed red-pepper flakes in a pan, on medium heat. i then added the shrimp in with freshly squeezed lemon juice, and white wine and turned the heat up to high. when it looked done to me, i took the pan off the heat, seasoned the prawns with sea-salt and pepper, and added more freshly squeezed lemon juice and hot-pepper flakes.

i’ve been mincing garlic cloves myself lately to use in my cooking, versus the pre-made garlic paste you can buy at the store. it’s amazing how much better dishes taste when everything is fresh, even something that seems as insignificant as little bits of garlic and dashes of lemon juice – all the little details always matter.
