bacon fat experiments


has anyone ever fried anything in bacon fat that has tasted BAD?! today’s kitchen experiment: perogies fried in bacon fat. crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with explosive bacon-flavour all-around. the definition of FAT.

not a meal i’d eat every single day, but it was my roommate’s birthday celebration last night, so it seemed like a fitting solution for breakfast this morning.

  1. our fave hot salad dressing : incorporate a tbsp or 2 of bacon fat with 2-3 tbsp olive, lemon juice and pinch sugar in pan…..toss a salad of lettuce leaves, feta cubes,avocados(tossed in lemon juice) and crumbled crispy bacon and serve at once with the hot dressing over salad….
